Farringdon Group is this year sponsoring the Orang Éire Gaelic Football team of Malaysia.
Orang Éire is Malaysia's first Gaelic Football Club and takes its name from the Bahasa word for 'people' and the Irish word for 'Ireland'. The club is made up of “talented athletes” from Ireland, Malaysia, Australia, UK, Canada, the US and many other countries. The club was formed in March 2007 and currently has two men’s teams, two ladies teams, a kid’s team and most recently, a U15 girl’s development team.
Orang Éire has been awarded the honor of hosting the 2012 Asian Gaelic Games. This is a huge step for the club and Farringdon Group is thrilled to be supporting such a prestigious and grand-scale event. This tournament will take place over 3 days in October and will see over 700 athletes travel to compete on Malaysian soil.
